Guard Lauren Pellowski (Jr., St. Paul, Minn. Tartan HS) helped the Falcons to a perfect start to their 2009-10 season with three wins last week. Pellowski, 5-6, led the team in scoring in an 82-53 win over Martin Luther and a 78-61 win over Viterbo. She scored a career-high 16 points at Martin Luther and 15 at Viterbo. She shot 16-25 (.640) from the field, including 6-9 (.667) from three-point range. She was a perfect 4-4 from the line for 42 points. She also had seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 51 minutes of playing time. She leads the Falcons in scoring averaging 14 points a game

“Lauren played really well this week,” said Coach Holbrook. “She is a very good shooter as we saw this week in all 3 games. We need her to continue to have that scorers mentality.  She came in and gave us a great impact each game. When players come into the game they need to contribute, not only on the offensive end, but also the defensive end and rebounding. She did a nice job in all three areas. ”
