Dohrn Named WIAC Basketball Player of the Week

Forward Maranda Dohrn (So., Lake City, Minn.) had a career best day in the Falcon win at UW-Platteville on Saturday and has been named the WIAC Player of the Week according to league Sports Information Director, Matt Stanek.
Dohrn, 6-0, scored a career high 23 points and grabbed a career high 22 rebounds in the team’s 57-46 win. The 22 rebounds ties the Falcon record for most rebounds in a game. In the team’s two games last week she scored 33 points and had 28 rebounds. She also had one assist, one blocked shot and two steals.
This year Dohrn is fourth on the team in scoring averaging seven points a game. She is the team’s top rebounder averaging 7.1 per game and top shot blocker with 20. She also has 12 assists and 19 steals.
Tuesday the Falcons play at UW-Stout at 6 p.m., in the first round of the WIAC Tournament.
