Player of the Week – Guard Tiffany Gregorich

Guard Tiffany Gregorich (So., Altoona, Wis.) helped lead the Falcons to a last second 68-67 win at Macalester College. With UWRF trailing, 67-66, Gregorich hit the winning bucket with just one second to play. Gregorich took the ball with seven seconds to play and went the length of the court to hit the winning shot. She led the Falcons in scoring with 19 points and finished 7-8 from the field and 5-6 from the line. With 15 seconds to play she hit a free throw that tied the game at the time, 66-66. In the second half she scored 13 points, had two rebounds and one assist. Gregorich, 5-5, leads the undefeated Falcons in scoring averaging 13.3 points a game. She is shooting a hot 21-29 (.724) from the floor, including 4-6 (.667) from behind the arc. She is 7-8 (.875) from the line. She also has seven steals, six assists and five rebounds. “ Tiffany shot really well, forced a number of turnovers, and helped us climb back in the game after trailing by double digits,” said Falcon Coach Cindy Holbrook. “She hit free throws at a crucial time and then flew down the court to hit the winning shot.”
